Our Story

What a journey we have been on! Brooke and I met in YWAM (Youth With A Mission) 20 years ago on the island of Maui where we were both on staff. God brought us together and were married in 2008. For the first 4 years of our marriage, we were a part of the local church. I was an associate pastor of worship and community groups. We then went back on staff with YWAM for a year helping to serve in the worship department and discipleship of upcoming leaders.

10 years ago, we stepped out of full-time ministry and dedicated our life to raising our 4 beautiful children and working full time in Billings, Montana. In the last few years however, we have been able to be a part of some incredible ministry opportunities. We have had the chance to facilitate retreats and small groups for men, women and couples. I have been able to travel and lead worship. All of these things stirred our hearts so much and the transformation we kept seeing was unreal. We knew these were the things we wanted to keep doing.

At the beginning of 2024 an opportunity came to us to partner with our best friends and their ministry called Awaken Retreat. We knew this was going to be our next big step for our family. As hard as transition can be, the results have been priceless. Our family has come together and has learned what it means to be a family on mission. We have had opportunities to host events on the property such as YWAM schools for their lectures and worship nights, teaching, one on ones, and leading worship at different local churches on the island.  We have loved building a community where are kids can thrive and where people can be seen and known. We feel  committed to take this unique season of our life to pour into our kids and the people around us wherever God takes us.
